Will I need to be available on my VIP Day?
Yes—but not glued to your screen. You’ll want to keep your phone nearby to respond to feedback requests and approvals throughout the day. We’ll schedule a short check-in early on, and then reconnect in the late afternoon (usually between 3–5pm ET) for the website reveal and final refinements.
Are there any additional costs?
You’ll need to purchase a domain (usually $12–20/year) and a Squarespace subscription (typically $16–23/month depending on your plan). I’ll walk you through exactly what you need, and can help transfer your domain if needed.
What’s included in the branding consult?
During our call, I’ll guide you through a semi-custom brand process to define your fonts and color palette. You’ll choose from a small collection of curated options that I’ve designed specifically for authors—so every combination looks polished and works beautifully with Squarespace.
Have a specific color in mind (like something from your book cover)? No problem—we’ll work it in. I’ll handle the tech and design details so you leave the consult feeling clear and excited about your brand.
Can you set up my newsletter automation too?
Yes! If you want to go beyond a basic opt-in form, you can add my Newsletter Setup Package. I’ll connect your opt-in to Squarespace Email Campaigns, format up to 3 welcome emails (you provide the content), and set up a polished welcome sequence that runs automatically.
Is my website built on Squarespace?
Yes! All of my sites are built on Squarespace—intentionally. It’s clean, secure, easy to update, and visually beautiful. You’ll be able to make simple edits yourself after launch, no tech background required.
How far in advance should I book?
Most clients book 2–4 weeks ahead to allow enough time to complete their prep materials and schedule their branding call. If you’re working on a tight timeline, feel free to reach out—I'll always do my best to accommodate you.
I want to sell products—how does that work?
That’s an optional second VIP Day, exclusively for setting up your Squarespace shop. We’ll style your shop page, upload products (up to 10), and configure payment, tax, and confirmation settings.
→ If you plan to sell books, merch, or digital products, this is the add-on for you.
Do you write the website content?
No—but I make it incredibly easy.
When you book, you’ll receive a guided prep workbook that walks you through exactly what content you need and where it goes. Think of it like a “fill-in-the-blanks” for authors. If you’d like help from a copywriter, I’m happy to recommend someone!
